5 Dark Horse players who could appear in the 2025 spring camp

The FSU football will come later this week in the era of Mike Norvell -ära in the sixth spring practice. It is probably the most important spring practice in Mike Norvell's term.

This spring is about competition and the uprising is how the new FSU coordinators like to do things from a schematic point of view.

It is also the point at which some dark horse players have the opportunity to take a step to prove that they will be in a way involved, even though they may be new or on the squad where most fans have probably forgotten.

Here are five Dark Horse players who could appear this spring:

Aaron Hester-DL

The redshirt junior defensive Lineman played in eight games and had 10 duels last year. Hester probably fits better than the defense of Tony White as Adam Fuller because he is not a defensive end with a large size or first step. Hester has shown that he is capable of what has a priority for the defense of Tony White. The violation of Jayson Jenkins could release more repetitions and possibly enable Hester to appear.

KJ Sampson-DL

The second defensive lineman from Redshirt played in 11 games and had 10 duels. He could be a forgotten name if Darrell Jackson Jr. and Daniel Lyons return, as well as all the bodies that FSU added from the transfer portal. However, Sampson flashes some tools and has a good size. I assume that spring practice has a lot of physicality, but I wonder if you are careful with some upper classes, which could release some repetitions for someone like Sampson. The FSU has to build depth on the defensive front, and Sampson could be part of it.

Ashlynd Barker-Safety/LB

The redshirt Junior Safety/Linebacker played in 11 games last year and had 19 duels. The security position is important for Tony White's scheme and requires physical play. Barker checks at 6'3 “and 212 pounds. The security positions have Shyheim Brown as the only proven veteran and have to define depth. Barker is a player who could appear when he is ready to look at this physical physicality.

Jordan Scott-WR

The Juco product joined the team this spring and has an excellent size in the recipient room. We know that Deice Robinson will be a factor and is almost the same size, but Scott can help create Matchup problems if they are on the field at the same time. They were able to replace each other in order to give themselves a breather if necessary, and should be major threats to the red zone. The recipient has questions and a strong spring could appear as a man for this team in 2025.

Jayvon Boggs-WR

The FSU had a lot of inexperience in slot position last season. Boggs is a newcomer, but polish and reminds me of a young Rashad Greene, although it is much thicker. I do not expect this type of production to be managed by the newcomer by the newcomer, but he has the tools that can play in the past than most recipients. He is a guy who committed himself to Gus Malzahn and UCF before freaking to the FSU.

The FSU has 31 new players from the high school ranks or portal that have enrolled this spring. There are also others who were in the team that could be dark horse players. This is the beauty of spring ball, and I love that they all have an empty table with a new coaching staff. The best gets up and play. The spring camp begins on March 19.
