Haason Reddick, Larry Foote shows why football is about relationships – Joebucsfan.com

The reunification with Bucs Olb coach Larry Foote brings a smile in Haason Reddick's face.

Joe has often heard this cliché and Joe used to believe that it was only used for coaching.

And yes, maybe it applies to coaching. But at least for the new Bucs Edge -Rusher Haason Reddick, his relationship with Bucs outside Linebacker trainer Larry Foote was an important reason why Reddick Tampa Bay decided.

Football is about relationships.

Reddick and Foote crossed the paths in Arizona. They combine in Tampa Bay.

When Reddick was a first choice in Arizona in 2017, Foote was the insider-linacker coach of the Cardinals. And immediately the cardinals made a mistake with Reddick to speak Foote on Friday.

The Rookie Edge -rusher was moved to the Inside Linebacker, a position that he had never played.

Joe asked Foote after this Friday and Foote said someone higher in the food chain than he saw, what Reddick was “freak” during the senior bowl exercises. The cardinals thought they had a monster in their hands and moving Reddick.

“It is a big factor, you know the connection how he helped me as a player as a young player in Arizona,” said Reddick about his reunion with Foote. “Do you know, the time, the attention he took to ensure that he understood my situation, right? A child who came to the league who has never played in Linebacker, someone who could do it in his career.

“[Foote’s] Effort, his approach, everything he gave me. Much of this stuff stopped me and allowed me to continue to grow as a player.

“So to connect with him again, maybe I'll teach him a few things this time – no! (Laughs) ”

After Reddick had gone to the Eagles – Foote in Tampa at that time – when the Eagles and Bucs played, Foote found Reddick and made sure that everything was good with him personally and professionally.

These gestures deepened Reddick's appreciation.

“It's great to be back [Foote]«, Said Reddick. “I always loved his energy, even if we were allowed to play against him. No matter where he trained, he always had the same thing and was excited to see me.

“[Foote] ensured that we would talk. He would ask me about my family, things [like] The. We always kept the connection. So it's great to be back [with Foote]. “”

Football is sometimes about relationships with players. When the Bucs tried to recruit Reddick, the Bucs already had an integrated advantage. A relationship advantage.
