The San Diego Wave FC will shoot the regular 2025 season on Sunday against Angel City FC at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Both teams supported themselves after devastating forest fires in January in January to demonstrate support for the community in Los Angeles.

San Diego Wave will support Angel City's “Situng of Strength” for the game, a program with which fans can buy tickets for a home game in the BMO Stadium for first aiders and the people affected by the fires.

Angel City fits every bought ticket and doubles the number of places available to these people.

“For our club, it is important that we use the power of this sport to bring people together, especially in times of need,” said San Diego FC.

“The association with Angel City to support the community is a sensible way to honor those affected by the fires and the first aiders who have given so much to Southern California.”

Before the game begins, both teams on the field for the national anthem with “La Strong” t -shirts from Angel City will record as a sign of unity that spans both organizations in order to support the support of fire fighting efforts and the families affected by the devastation.

In addition, the WAVE match kits are contained in a limited task in San Diego Fire-Rescue Department of Patches on the back of the player jerseys in order to highlight their ongoing partnership with the local fire brigade.

“Sit of strength are our way of returning to those who have always been there for our community – our first aiders, neighbors and city,” said Julie Uhrman, Managing Director of Angel City. “It is an opportunity to come together, bring something joy and have fun.”

The game on Sunday starts at 3:50 p.m. and is transferred live to ESPN2.
