Backyard Sports Games receive a mobile release date, tease consolation versions

Last year the Backyard Sports Games recorded a revival on the PC with the publications of Backyard Baseball '97 And Backyard Soccer '98. Fans of the series have been looking forward to publication on additional platforms, and it has now been confirmed that the games will make the leap on mobile devices. There will also be no long waiting time, since Playground Productions confirmed a publication date of March 27. The games will also be playable offline, so the players don't have to worry that they are on duty to enjoy the games. The games in the App Store were not listed at the present time.

One of the biggest problems in mobile games is that they are often plagued by microtransactions. Playground Productions has confirmed that the games on mobile platforms will not have any microtransactions. There are no ads either, so this seems to be pretty much the same experience that players have had with Steam. This means that we can probably expect these publications, but there was no announcement about the costs. Backyard Baseball '97 And Backyard Soccer '98 You will be rated regularly at Steam at 9.99 USD, so that we can probably expect a similar price.

The Backyard Sports Games will soon go to Mobile

In addition to the price, Backyard sports fans asked whether the mobile versions offer controller support. At this point we do not know whether there will be controller support or whether the games will only revise the touchscreen. Hopefully Playground games will have several options that correspond to the settings of each player. With the mobile publication date in less than 2 weeks, we should have a lot more information in the coming days.

While adding these games to mobile devices has caused too much excitement, some fans still wonder when (and whether) these games will also end up on consoles. After the announcement, the official Backyard Sports X/Twitter account asked several questions from fans, and offered information on further announcements. In this account, “consoles” was given soon, but not worked out on platforms. In response to another user, however, the Backyard Sports account seemed to point strongly to a version for Nintendo Switch.
