Thomasville-an training at Thomas University will be more affordable thanks to the record-breaking generosity of the community and the sponsors of the annual dining for Education Drive-Thru dinner.

The “dinner in the south” took place on March 10th in the Plaza restaurant in downtown Thomasville. It was supported by over 50 sponsors, including local companies, companies and individuals whose philanthropic gifts were put in the shade for the second time in a row.

The money gifts are shown for general student schedules to ensure that students can successfully complete at Thomas University and pursue flourishing careers.

“We are so grateful for the community and our sponsors that they have again led to a record event from TU for Education this year. All funds collected go directly to student scholarships, ”said Carla Turner, Associate VP for promotion. “Scholarships are of crucial importance to improve the career opportunities of our students and ultimately their quality of life.”

The junior of Thomas University, William Nye, one of several TU students who had volunteered at the event, expressed his gratitude: “I voluntarily show myself for those who support and sponsor us, my gratitude and appreciation.”

“The success of” dinner in the south “would not be possible without the hard work of our planning committee,” added Turner. “We are so grateful to have volunteers who believe in the mission of Thomas University and recognize the effects that can have a degree in the life of an individual.”

The members of the planning committee include Janna Crane (chair), Christa Carter, Raquel England, Caroline Flowers, Martha Hanway, Alane Kadel, Leah Merschman, Eve Rumble and Marcy Sizemore.

“I really enjoyed serving in the fundraising campaign for education in the past three years. We have the best committee and undertake to improve the accessibility for students for students and enrich the life of our TU students. My husband and I are so enthusiastic about this mission that we also contribute as annual sponsors, ”said Crane, chairman of the planning committee.
