Rochester Man was convicted of shot death

Rochester – A man from Rochester was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in the state prison on Friday, March 14th, after he was guilty for the death of Plymouth County's District of the District of the District of Plymouth County's death.

The 36-year-old Cody Perry was condemned with a fatal weapon on March 12 in front of the Supreme Court of Plymouth County for voluntary homicide and assault and battery that caused serious assault for the fatal shootout of the 41-year-old Justin Doberck.

On the night of April 7, 2023, the police officers from Rochester and the soldiers of the state police in Massachusetts reacted to reports on a shootout in the 259 New Bedford Road.

As soon as the law enforcement authorities had found a male victim – later identified as Doberck – he was brought to a regional hospital in New Bedford, where he was declared dead.

Through witness interviews and preliminary investigations, the law enforcement authorities found that there was a disagreement between Cody Perry and the victim after a evening evening at a campfire in the forest behind the property of the New Bedford Road. The incident escalated when Perry got a firearm out of the house and Doberck shot.

The officials then arrested Perry without further incident.

At a hearing on March 12, the Commonwealth requested a detention from 18 to 20 years in the state prison.

The deputy district prosecutors Daniel Higgins and Jessica Croker pursued this case. It was examined by the police of Rochester and the Detective Unit of the Massachusetts State Police, which was assigned to the Plymouth district.
