Best moments of day 1

The celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Vive Latino Festival became a big party on Saturday (March 15th), with rhythms such as rock and cumbia at the center of the voices of some of their greatest exponents, including Mexican bands Caifanes, Los Ángeles Atzules, and El Gran Schallcio.

On his first day of the activities, the musical meeting, which returned to his original event location at Estadio BSP Seguros (formerly foro Sol) after one year, brought together 80,000 people, according to OCESA.

One of the most expected and applauded appearances was the legendary group Los Ángeles Azzees, who returned 12 years after her unforgettable debut Triumphal. In the meantime, Caifanes added a social note by addressing topics such as the crisis of female female in Mexico and migration during their main stage performance.

There were big surprises, such as the highly expected debut by the emerging artist Macario Martínez in Vive Latino. In addition to his solo act on the Carpa intolerant -stage, he was invited to perform together with the band Little Jesus. One of the emotional highlights of the marathon one day was the appearance of the guitarist and singer of Molotov, Tito Fuentes, who joined his band mate towards the end of her set to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary after he had previously announced a health-related hiatus.

Emmanuel “Meme” del Real, keyboardist of the popular band Café Tacvba, also provided one of the special appearances and showed new songs from his solo repertoire. Another outstanding moment came from the German band Scorpions, who made a promise to their Mexican fans after canceling their performance at the festival last year.

The first day of the festival also saw appearances by Spanish and English -language acts, including Nortec: Bostich + Fossible, Él Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Foster The People, The Guapos, Caloncho and Jesse Baez.

On Sunday (March 16), the festival continues with appearances by Zoé, Mon Laferte, Aterciopelados, Sepultura, Keane, Draco Rosa, Los K'Comxtles, Eden Muñoz, Kany García, Porter, Rüfüs du Sol and Cuareto de Nos. For the second time in a row and thanks to a partnership with Amazon Music, concerts can be streamed free of charge via the digital platform.
