Joey Gallo, published by White Sox, says he changed to Pitcher | WTAQ News Talk | 97.5 FM · 1 p.m.

The Chicago White SOX granted outfield-base-based Joey Gallo his unconditional publication on Sunday and announced on social media that he wanted to continue his career as a pitcher.

On February 15, Gallo signed an invitation to Chicago's spring training in Chicago.

The 31-year-old scored 0.100 (2 for 20) with 11 strike outs in nine games this spring.

If Gallo seriously deals with the transition to pitching, he can now search for a team that wants to develop it on the hill. He was a pitcher in the high school, but is not assumed that he has professional experience.

Gallo, a two-time all-star and double gold glove winner, has had difficulties in 2019 since beating 0.253 with the Texas Rangers and since then has been less than 0.200 every season.

The Rangers sent him to the New York Yankees in 2021, and since then he has played single Seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins and Washington National.

Last season in Washington Gallo played in 76 games and scored with 10 Homern and 27 RBIs .161. It struck 102 times in 223 bats.
