Florida against Norfolk State NCAA tournament preview

The NCAA tournament bracket was released on Sunday, with the Florida Gators received a 1-seed and their first Matchup-Die Spartaner in Norfolk State-State learning.

There was no doubt that the Gators would be one of the 1-SAATE line after they had teased Tennessee in the Sec-Tournament Championship game, and they will now be positioned for a run-it will not be easy to start a shabby Norfolk State team.

The Spartans are under head coach Robert Jones in the 12th year, one of the great young coaches of the sport, who is only 45 years old, even though he has had so many years of experience in the head coach. He has achieved incredible things with the Spartans, which they remove from a middle of the pack squad in the middle of the Eastern Atlantic Conference and transform them into several years of strength. Your surfaces in the past seven years are 1st, 1st, 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 1st and 1. … so you get the picture – you dominate this league. Unfortunately, at the MEAC tournament they did not have so much success that their NCAA tournament lying areas limited, although this will be their third NCAA tournament for six years. Robert Jones was a trendy name when looking for coaching in the last offsprouses and you can search for him again for March Madness.

A big reason why Norfolk State under Jones had so much success is the fact that they play smart, play hard and play with sportiness. This season was no different from what they showed in the Meac for an 11: 3 record how they can win several types they can win. Playing against Norfolk State is like a pitcher in baseball, which throws a four-seater, a two-seater, a sweeper, a curve ball and a change, you are often able to guess what you will do defensively. Ultimately, 30% of the defensive possessions of the state of Norfolk were played in the zone this season, and you can bet that you will use a zone to slow down the gator – the question is only in which part of the game and which zone you will use.

Mid major teams will always have difficulty reaching the size of Florida, as many highly mahorige teams have difficulty corresponding to their size-but the state of Norfolk has a pretty good length and physicality. You will start 6'11 ”, 210 pound Kuluel Mading in the middle, and he is with 6,10”, 235 pound Tyrel Bladen – and this is the type of size that many teams want that you have in the middle. Your front square also offers 6'8 ”, 200 pounds Jalen Myers and 6'7”, 240 pounds of Chris Fields. While you will definitely give up the gators a certain size, you will fight. The Spartans also have a nice physicality at the waxplaces with many players who like to get in touch on drives and end strongly, which they will not see with many other teams on the 16-line.

Brian Moore, an outstanding 6'2 -inch wachmann, who is an average of 18.4 points and 3.1 assists per game, is offensive for the state of Norfolk. From Harlem, New York, Moore is a hard, well -founded, qualified guard, which is relentless in his pursuit of color and when he arrives there, he will end the contact through contact and then inform the defender about it. No great outdoor shooter, Moore must be able to be downhill to be effective – but he is able to do this against capable defenders who are geared towards keeping him away.

As with all schools in leagues such as the Meac, the state of Norfolk had to play a number of buying games against highly mahorige opponents, so that they achieved experience with the top of sport this year. First they played a close game with Stanford, where they led in the second half before they ultimately lost 70-63. Next, they lost 91-73 against Grand Canyon, a mid-major who is on paralent with many high majors. She then lost Big against Baylor (94-69) and Tennessee (67-52), although she achieved a big victory at the High Point, a team in Kenpom and in the NCAA tournament field as a 13-year-old NCAA tournament field. While Norfolk State dominated against mid-majors and her league, her style is not necessarily set up against high-Maor opponents, although head coach Robert Jones will certainly train and will have her prepared.

The winner of Florida and Norfolk State will play the winner of Uconn and Oklahoma. The second seed in this region is St. John's and the third seed is Texas Tech if you are looking for possible matchups across the board.
