Fort Worth Shooting kills two, one in critical condition NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A neighborhood in Fort Worth is nervous after the police said that a shootout killed two people and left another in critical condition.

Officials say that it was near the 4,200 Lisbon Street at around 3 a.m. on Sunday. NBC 5 spoke to people who heard the shots – and even balls came into their homes.

Hours after the incident, the Block of Lisbon Street, affected, still told the story of what happened early Sunday morning: ball holes were seen in houses and cars, and the sidewalk was still stained with blood.

“I just sat down in the living room and then just hear the shots,” said Osvaldo Lopez.

Fort Worth's police said they were called to the scene around 3:20 a.m. when they arrived, they found two dead, and paramedics said NBC 5 that they brought another victim to the hospital in a critical condition.

The police said she was working on determining what led to the shootout.

“A big shot, really loud, woke me up,” said Angela Orozco. Orozco said NBC 5 that the victims were shot in front of their house.

On the street, a single shot went into the living room of a neighbor – with just one book on the shelf that prevented the ball from being damaged.

“Two of the houses were hit and then a car of the neighbor was hit twice,” said Eric Robb, who has rental houses hit by shots.

According to the incident, some neighbors stated that they were grateful that the shootout no longer affects innocent people.

But after balls that fly with her bedroom window, said Orozco that she was still shaken by violence.

“Why do you do it, I don't know why you are doing it,” said Orozco. “You don't get anything from it, you are only hurt.”
