The NCAA selection committee explains UNC Making 2025 Men March Madness Bracket

After the unveiling of the 68 team field for the NCAA men's basketball tournament on Sunday, many were surprised by the recording of UNC after the disappointing regular season of the team.

Keith Gill, member of the selection committee, said the decision to conclude UNC, and said CBS that Uab's loss against Memphis in the AAC tournament championship on Sunday opened the door for the Tar -Heels to make the tournament as one of the first four.

The UNC sports director Bubba Cunningham, the head of the selection committee, was out of the room when the decision was made and said: “All guidelines and procedures were followed.”

The Tar Heels went 22-13 and lost a heartbreaking way against Duke 74-71 on Friday in the semi-finals of the ACC tournament, when a loss of losing was a free throw from the game. The team lost all three meetings against the Blue Devils this year and fell on February 1 and 82-69 on March 8, 87-70.

Nevertheless, UNC remained optimistic that it would earn a place in the NCAA tournament. The team has been 9: 3 since his first defeat against Duke, so the selection committee would be impressed by its increase in the late season.

“I think we've shown in the past few weeks that we are a tournament team,” said RJ Davis after the defeat against Duke in the ACC tournament. “Take a look at the trajectory of our entire season how we have dealt with adversity and our perseverance, especially in the past few weeks.

UNC will compete against the state of San Diego on Tuesday in his first four matchups. The winner becomes seed No. 11 in the south region and take number 6 from Ole Miss in the 64th round.
