Program for the offer of fitness tips for people with arthritis

The Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) in cooperation with the Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP) offers a free hybrid version of walk with ease.

This series begins on May 1st and runs until June 5.

This Walk with lightness Hybrid is a self-directed, improved program in which individuals begin and end the six-week program at the same time with a curricetics of American arthritis foundation.

An MSU extension manager coordinates program information by easily passing on the book hike with every participant as soon as he has completed a participant registration survey, weekly e -mails with video links and information handouts are sent, and moderators are available to answer questions with the online place of office zoom.

During the six -week program, the participants become:

  • Understand the basics of arthritis and the connection between arthritis, movement and pain.
  • Train safely and conveniently.
  • Use methods to take a walk.
  • Make a personal hiking plan with realistic goals for improved fitness.
  • Learn tips and resources to help you overcome barriers and continue to be physically active.
  • Learn more about other programs and resources that can help you to maintain your go and try out other physical activities.

During the weekly meeting of a brief review of the resources, an opportunity to share our motivational trips and to receive answers to some of the questions that may arise.

The meetings are on Thursdays if you can be shared at a zoom link at 1 p.m. CT/2 p.m.
