Ice Agent in Plain Clothes arrested man who has just been released from prison and reports the probation

Sonica County officers reported that an ICE agent arrested a person in the County Probation Department in Santa Rosa on Thursday afternoon.

The district says that a representative of the plain text has arrested a person who had just been released from prison and reported on probation in the probation department for adults at the probation department for adults.

The prisoner was taken away in a white van with a federal license plate. The agent did not identify with the employees, said district officers.

“This imprisonment was unexpected by our employees and probably very worrying for others in our lobby. The agent did not identify, although apparently it apparently had his neck, and it was not immediately clear what happened at that time,” said Chief Probation Officer Vanessa Fuchs.

Fuchs said her office was not involved in any capacity. Fuchs sent her employees by e -mail on Friday and said that she checked internal processes to determine whether there are “adjustments that we can make”.

The incident does not violate the California Values Act, which prohibits the state and the local law enforcement authorities to use their resources in order to examine or arrest persons for the enforcement of immigration.

Local perspective:

“The fact that this arrest in the lobby of the district's probation department took place from an open -dressed official is annoying for public services,” said Supervisor Lynda Hopkins.

Hopkins is also chairman of the Supervisory Board.

“It sends the wrong message to members of our community to earn access to County Services – especially customers who have to trust the probation department and visit to meet the conditions of their probation,” she said.

Resources are made available to the local immigrant community by the district.
