Louisville, Ky. -After six long years, the Louisville -men -Basketball program is finally back in the NCAA tournament. They stay in the state to start their run in Big Dance and start with a matchup in the first round against Creighton.

Under the direction of head coach in the first year Pat Kelsey, the cardinals this season were one of the best storylines in college basketball. The 19-victory turn from the 8-24 team of last season is the second best in the history of men's college basketball, who goes from the last in the ACC to the second place in the regular season and title of the league. Nevertheless, Louisville inexplicably earned a seed no. 8 for the tournament.

As for the BlueJays, the 15th year was a moderately successful company under head coach Greg McDermott. While Creighton went in the games of Quad 1 and 2 11-10, they also ended as a second place in the regular season and title game of the Big East-Beide against St. John's. However, they were relegated to a No. 9 seed.

This will be the fourth meeting of all time between Louisville and Creighton, with the BlueJays having a 2-1 advantage. The only victory of the cardinals' cardinals came back on December 29, 1977 and won a 69-66 double-hourly victory in the Freedom Hall. Both victories from Creighton came at the NCAA tournament and won 80-71 on March 16, 1974 and 62-58 on March 11, 1999.
