The women's basketball in Florida receives a WBIT offer that faces North -Iowa on Thursday

The basketball team of women in Florida is bound after the season.

Not the NCAA tournament, but the basketball invitation tournament of women (Wbit).

The Gators accepted an offer for the invitation evening. As No. 3, they will be at the O'Connell Center in North -Iowa on Thursday at 7 p.m.

It is the second year in a row in which UF has been published in the Wbit, and the second year of existence of the event. It replaced the WNIT as No. 2 -Nach season tournament. Florida also earned a no. 3 seeds last season, but St. Johns fell at home in the first round at home.

Part of what gator gave the gator was an impressive quarter -finals in the Sec tournament. As eleven seeds, they defeated Auburn and annoyed Alabama the sixth seed to rise to the tournament quarter -finals for the second time in a row. In her first season 2021-22, she brought Florida to the NCAA tournament for the only one since 2016. In the next season, the Gators got eight.

Florida is the only SEC team in the Wbit. Ten SEC squad received offers for the NCAA tournament. Mississippi State (No. 9 Seed in Region 4) is the only tournament that defeated UF this season.
