Summary of the incident:

On March 17, 2025, the soldiers of the Vermont State Police – Westminster Barracks reacted to a car accident on Interstate 91 South near Mile Marker 49.4 in the city of Weathersfield. The investigation showed that the operator identified as a 27-year-old Samuel Butler was under the influence of alcohol. Butler was arrested for suspected DUI and negligent operation and transported to the Westminster barracks for processing. He was later released with a criminal quote and is to appear on April 4, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. in front of the Supreme Court of Vermont, Windsor, Criminal Division to answer the charges mentioned above.
