Florida Atlantic in NIT -Feld 2025 organizes Dayton on Wednesday

Boca Raton, Fla. – The men's basketball team in Florida Atlantic is for the fourth time in a row with a berth in the national invitation tournament 2025 (NIT) for the post -season tour. The OWLS will organize Dayton on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena in a game in the first round in the Dayton region on ESPN2.

The tickets will be offered for sale on Monday at 9 a.m., with the owners of FAU duration tickets priority to 12 p.m. to acquire their existing places. The seats on the square are 75 US dollars, with the lower arena tickets for $ 30 and the Upper Arena for 20 US dollars. Information on tickets for FAU students will be announced on Monday.

Under head coach John JakusThe owls are the finalist for Joe B. Hall Award, who is awarded the best coach every year in Division I in the first year. He is 18-15 overall and were members of the American Athletic Conference 10-8 in the second year. Dayton, the No. 1 in the Dayton Regional the NIT, is 22-10 in total and 12-6 in the Atlantic 10.

Florida Atlantic's men's basketball program has been used up since 2019. Five of the seven post-season appearances in this seven-year period. The OWLs reached the Collegeinsider.com (CIT) in 2019, until 2022 to the CBI and 2023 and 2024 to the NCAA tournament, including the historical final of the team in 2023.

The team's only other NCAA tournament took place in 2002, with the only earlier NIT appearance in 2011.

The 18-win season of the OWLS was only the sixth campaign of more than 18 wins in the program history. It was also the seventh win of the program in a row. The program had only eight winners before 2019.

Florida Atlantic and Dayton met only once before, whereby the Flyers won 81-56 on December 15, 2012 at the University of Dayton Arena.
