8 NFL players tend up and down (2025 fantasy football)

With the first wave of the free agency in the rear -view mirror together with the NFL scouting combination, it is time to take a look at players who tend to after the recent headlines and consider the effects on fantasy football in 2025.

Fantasy football players tend to

Chris Godwin (WR – TB)

Once again, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers held their core together with the new signing by Chris Godwin, one year after the reduction of Mike Evans and Baker Mayfield. Despite the loss of the offensive coordinator Liam Coen, there are many reasons to consider this for the Buccaners as a good low season.

Godwin was in excellent form before he promised his ankle in week 8, with the second pair of yards received and achieving an average of 8.9 destinations per game. The 7.1 catches per game that Godwin bragged were a career high and his five touchdowns in seven games were as many as in the last two seasons.

Jalen McMillan deserves a role in Godwin's absence, but it is unlikely that he displaced a player that Bucs viewed as a priority. Godwin's fortune is much cheaper in Tampa than if he had persecuted money in Neuland or elsewhere.

Davante Adams Wr – Lar)

It spoke volumes. While this amount was tasty for Adams, it was a non -fiery with a dice.

In 2024, Adams achieved an average of 2.2 yards per route when he rose from Las Vegas and landed in New York with the jets. Adams was pulled by Aaron Rodgers with the ball, but 2.2 meters per route are difficult to ignore. His 76.6 yards per game reflected the fact that Adams still have gas in the tank, while Kupp may not be able to say the same thing.

The Rams scream for a rooton threat, and Puka Nacua only scored nine touchdowns in two seasons, although 266 destinations. Adams was in the red zone throughout his career and was able to consistently violent violent recipients during his entire career with Matthew Stafford.

Najee Harris (RB – LAC)

During Greg Roman's NFL office, it was difficult for more than one pass catching option to be successful at the same time. However, the running back always found a fertile situation, thanks to the ability of Roman to develop the offensive line in favorable shifts and movements that open large lanes for the back.

Najee Harris played his entire NFL career with poor quarterbacks, from Ben Roethlisberger to late stage to Kenny Pickett and a mix of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, the average to bad offensive coordinators and frankly the official offensive line game.

Harris did not fulfill his design in the first round, but he now plays with Justin Herbert behind an offensive line with a real upward trend and a coordinator who knows how to create lanes. With only Kimani Vidal behind Harris, there is a good chance that Harris could surpass his career high of 307 rushing attempts.

Brock Bowers (TE – LV)

Raiders' possession, including Tom Brady, took a look at the arriving rookie class and thought that Aidan O'Connell, Jimmy Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer, Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder have started and no longer.

A conclusion was necessary and if it could not be found in the design, it would be found elsewhere. Time is precious if you have a generation talent, and that is exactly what the Raiders found in Brock Bowers, who became the third rookie -Tight end, which has ever exceeded 1,000 yards and broke the record for receptions in a rookie season.

Geno Smith might never have leaned to target a close end, but at what point did he ever have a really elite talent in the position? The Noah Fant Love is fun, but come, Bowers is over Mrs. Fant's wildest dreams. Bowers suffered from an inefficient crime that tried to move the ball and stay on the field. If the Raiders develop positively, Bowers can distance themselves even more in 2025.

Fantasy football player tends down

DK Metcalf (WR – Pit) & George Picke (WR – Grube)

Many hopes have been recorded on DK Metcalf and George Pickens in recent years, not least because they can be seen and persecuted immensely entertaining players, but in 2024 there was a disappointment for both players and 2025 is not a big start.

Metcalf ended last season as a WR35 in PPR points per game, with picke a place behind him at WR36. Perhaps it is a sign of a change in ideas in Pittsburgh, but it feels more likely as if this volatile pairing may have difficulty existing side by side.

No broad recipient has never seen more than 119 destinations as an offensive coordinator under Arthur Smith in one season. This represents a volume for Metcalf, which has exceeded this number in four of its five seasons and only unpacked due to injuries in 2024. Pickens has organized 103 goals, but during this time his competition van Jefferson and other unforgettable names in the broad reception position.

There is also the small matter of a complete quarterback deficiency for the Steelers, which seems remarkable. Even in what the best scenario now appears in which the Steelers Aaron Rodgers sign, is his playing style voting the physical and controversial fishing methods that are bought both picking and Metcalf? It feels inevitable that these two recipients are not set up for great fantasy seasons.

Rico Dowdle (RB – Auto)

It was always a difficult market to run back to run back in the rookie class as one of the best running back classes that we have seen for years. Nevertheless, Rico Dowdle has to be disappointed.

Dowdle scored the market for free agency after being the best in Dallas, from the 10th week to the fifth highest yards and ended as a top 24-RB in half of his games throughout the season. However, the cowboys decided to sign Javonte Williams, who aimed less than Dowdle in many metrics, and gave him a very similar business like Dowdle with the Panthers.

Dowdle can now be found behind Chuba Hubbard, which the Panthers have recorded as RB No. 1. If Jonathon can return Brooks from an injury, you have to imagine that Dowdle is fighting with him for Touch.

CJ Stroud (QB – Hou)

Christian Kirk's addition was helpful for CJ Stroud. Stefon Diggs, a Free Agent and Tank Dell, may have been missing throughout the coming season, but Kirk's encore is not enough to compensate for the changes in the offensive line.

The Texans had the 29th offensive line in 2024 according to Pro Football Focus' (PFF) at the end of the season. They went back to the drawing board by publishing Laremy Tunsil and Shaq Mason. Mason is not as big as Tunsil, but it is still remarkable. According to reports, Tunsil was moved into the building primarily because of his fit.

While it is a coach of the coach to build a culture and a team, as they think it was right, Tunsil was one Pro Bowl player in five of the last six seasons and last year remained one of the best offensive offensive lines in the NFL with its 88.6 PFF pass blocking grade, which was under the offensive subscriber in 2024.

Stroud seems to need his offensive line to be good to achieve good performance. Without Dell and the offensive line in the river, it is difficult to be excessively positive for Stroud when he enters his third year in the league.
