Who and when does the Crimson Tide play in the 1st round?

Nate Oats led Alabama -Basketball to a fifth NCAA tournament in a row. Alabama enters March Madness as No. 6 overall team and a 2-seed. It is the third time in five tournament appearances under oats that the Crimson Tide was 1 or 2 seeds. In the earlier story of Alabama Hoops, this only happened two other times.

Alabama enters the big dance with a total of 25: 8 with 1: 1 in the Sec tournament with a blowout victory against Kentucky and a defeat of 22 points against Florida in the semi-finals. No team in the country played a challenging schedule as Oats and his team.

This means that Alabama is checked and ready against the NCAA tournament. The sweet 16 has done three times under oat Alabama, including the last two seasons. Last year the flood made the last four for the first time in the program history.

If you want to run again in 2025, everything will start this weekend.

Alabama's 1st round NCAA tournament opponents unveiled

Alabama is the 2-seeds in the East Regional and will open the NCAA tournament in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday. The Crimson Tide will tip over on Friday at 11:40 a.m. CT Agaisnt 15 Seed Robert Morris, the Horizon League champion.

Robert Morris enters the tournament with a winning streak of 10 games and occupied the 139th place in Kenpom. Alabama has not played an opponent of SUB-100 against South Dakota State, her last non-conference game of the season.

Alabama opened Pro Fanduel as a 22.5-point favorite.

When Alabama defeats Robert Morris, you will play in the second round against the winner of the 7-seed St. Mary's and 10-Seed Vanderbilt on Sunday. St. Mary's is 22nd in Kenpom. In Alabama's last nine games, you only played one team in Kenpom.

When Alabama progresses until the second weekend, they travel to Newark, New Jersey, to fight for the East regionally. Your most likely opponent in a hypothetical sweet 16-Matchup would be 3-seed-wisconsin or 6-seed-byu, although the VCU will be a popular selection with 11 seeds.

The road to the last four probably leads through Duke in the elite. The Blue Devils are number 1 of the East Regional and the No. 1 team in Kenpom. A healthy Cooper Flagg will make Duke a popular national title choice.

Alabama needs a healthy Grant Nelson to run a run at the NCAA tournament.
