The Vatican published a photo of Pope Francis in a wheelchair and offered the public a look at the 88-year-old Pope when he recovered from a double pneumonia. In the meantime, proposals for wealthy donors appeared, which may join King Charles on his upcoming state visit to the Vatican.

The picture divided on Sunday shows how Francis wears a purple stole that sits in front of an altar in the chapel of his hospital suite in the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome. The Pope had checked the fair on Sunday on Sunday and, according to the Vatican press office, marked another step in its gradual recovery.

In a message to his followers, the Pope recognized his frailty and described his hospital stays as the “period of the process” and thanked for the prayers and support he received, reported that the Telegraph reported.

Francis has been recovering steadily since the hospital on February 14, although he continues to demand medical therapies, including motor and respiratory physiotherapy.

The Vatican assured the public that his condition remains stable, but emphasized that it does not yet have to be released.

Despite his absence due to public appearances, the Pope is associated with his followers, asked them through written news and offers words of hope and encouragement.

Sunday was the fifth week in which the Pope could not personally deliver the Angelus prayer. Nevertheless, the well -wishers gathered in front of the hospital and demonstrated their affection and support for the Argentine Pope.

Although the Vatican has stated that the Pope is no longer in direct danger, the concerns that its ability to preside through Easter celebrations in the Christian calendar are lingering. Traditionally, the Pope leads a number of events, including Good Friday and the Easter mass at St. Peter's Square.

In the meantime, the preparations for King Charles and Queen Camilla's state visit in Italy and the Vatican, which is planned for April, reported the Times of London.

Reports of a proposal for wealthy donors related to the King's Foundation to take part in a private meeting with the Pope in Castel Gandolfo, which was historically used as a papal summer apartment.

Kristina Murrin, Managing Director of the King's Foundation, suggested that with high networks to involve the royal visit with high networks and include them as a “money-can't-Buy experience” to honor long-time supporters of the charity.

Shortly after the proposal was sent to the foreign office by e -mail, it was withdrawn.

It remains unclear who has decided to give up the idea – whether the charity itself, the Federal Foreign Office or the Buckingham Palace.

A representative of the King's Foundation informed the Times of London that informal discussions about the participants were held, but no donors were invited during the state visit or will take part in events.

The King's Foundation has recently experienced management turmoil, especially after the departure of Michael Fawcett among privileges in connection with donors. Subsequent investigations by charity authorities in England and Scotland proposed considerable management failure during the term of office of Fawcett, although a police investigation did not lead to an indictment.
