Northeast -Dalla's apartment building caught fire overnight, cause unknown

Dallas Fire-Rescue worked an intensive residential building on Monday, officials said.

Around 12:42 p.m., firefighters reacted to a 911 call about a structure in Larmanda Street 6749 in the northeast of Dallas. When they arrived in the two -story apartment complex, they saw heavy fire from a unit on the first floor in one of the buildings.

The fire was in advanced stages and, according to Jason Evans, spokesman for the Dallas Fire-Rescue, spread quickly, which caused the fire to be raised to a two-alarm incident. The building was evacuated and firefighters began with “tactics of defensive impression”.

About 50 firefighters reacted to the incident with handcans and conductor towers before they declared an “out taps” at 4:45 a.m.

The building, which contained 18 units, was only half -occupied. An unknown number of residents was moved to other apartments by building management. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently indefinite.
