Libyan Football Federation: Hopes that are adhered to the Angola match and the support of the fans

The head of the national team committee of the Libyan Football Association Tarek Al-Tayeb confirmed that the new Senegalese coach of the national team, Aliou Cissé, held his first training session to prepare the game against Angola in African qualifications for the 2026 World Cup.

Al-Tayeb emphasized that most players had joined the training camp immediately after participating in the games of the Libyan Premier League. He explained that the team was working on determining the best tactical approach for the Angolan national team. He recognized the challenging task for the Senegalese trainer and emphasized the need for considerable efforts to properly prepare the team.

“We have great hopes for a positive result, especially since the game will take place at home. We need a high focus of the players, especially in the lines of defensive and attack. Despite the difficulty of the task, nothing is impossible,” said Al-Tayeb.

He asked Libyan fans to take part in the Martyr of the Benina Stadium in Bengasi on the match on March 20 to support the national team and to promote their motivation to ensure victory in this decisive encounter.

It is worth noting that Libya is currently in second place in group D with seven points, one point behind the leaders Cameroon. Cape Verde is in third place with the same number of points, but behind the target difference. Angola is fourth with six points, followed by Mauritius in fifth place with four points, while Eswatini sits with zero points below.
