Sentenced to 30 years, desired for a deposit of 70 million US dollars

The police from Taipei, on March 17 (CNA), issued an arrest warrant against a man who was recently released against a deposit of $ 70 million ($ 2.12 million) after it was sentenced by the Supreme Court of Taiwan to 30 years and five months in prison to manipulate the securities prices.

Chung initially wore an electronic surveillance device from October 18, 2023 to October 17, 2024. On October 16, 2024, the Supreme Court of Taiwan approved its distance on the condition that it was paid for an additional $ 20 million NT $ in addition to the original deposit of $ 50 million and continued to be reported to a named police station.

The public prosecutor of the Taipei district announced whether existing measures prevent suspects from jumping and reporting on improvements by the Supreme Public Prosecutor's Office.

Chung was found for the first time

In 2021, Chung scored a deposit of 50 million US dollars.

On March 12, the Supreme Court of Court condemned him by seven crimes and sentenced him to 30 years and five months in prison, with a maximum term of office being limited after 30 years. The convictions include five violations of Securities and Exchange Act with individual sentences between 39 and 118 months.

The Taiwan High Court on March 13th defended its decision in October 2024 to remove the electronic surveillance device from Chung, and said Chung reported continuously from 2023 to 2024, and it believed that the additional deposit would prevent him from escaping.

According to the local Media Outlet Mirror Media, Chung is reportedly hidden in North Taiwan and is waiting for an opportunity to flee from the country.
