A record-six-west coastal conference men's basketball teams receive the post-season offers

San Bruno, California – – – The West Coast Conference achieved a conference record with six men's basketball teams for men who took part in the post -season on Monday morning after the state of Oregon and Washington State were included in the first college basketball -crown field. The Beavers and Cougars were the fifth and sixth West coastal conference teams that followed the post -season after Saint Mary's and Gonzaga were selected for the NCAA tournament, and San Francisco and Santa Clara were included in the NIT field on Sunday.

The West Coast Conference men's basketball presented six teams in two further seasons in 2022 and 2014. In combination with the six women's basketball teams of the West Coast Conference, which compete in the post-season, a basketball team for conference record will compete in the post-season. The West Coast Conference also had 12 teams (six men's teams and six women's teams) in 2022 in post -season tournaments.

“It is another strong year for the West Coast Conference, which has been highlighted in the past two decades by a record of six tournaments of several NCAA men's basketball offers,” said Stu Jackson, Commissioner of the West Coast Conference. “We are well represented with a record 12 West Coast Conference men and women basketball teams that compete in the post -season, including several offers in all three big tournaments for men after the season, and commandments for all three big night season tournaments. We look forward to building on our rich history, as these 12 programs for the west coast of men and women compete for championships. “

Oregon State will play on April 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Garden Arena from MGM in Las Vegas against UCF. Washington State will play on March 31 at 8 p.m. by the same event location George Washington. The first two rounds of the CBC take place in the Grand Garden Arena of MGM with the semi-finals (April 5) and the championship game (April 6th) in the T-Mobile Arena.

Oregon State (20-12) hung his hat on a defensive attitude this season when the Beavers at the West Coast Conference took third place in the goal defense and enabled 69.1 ppg. The OSU also took fourth place in the league at 76.2 ppg. A large part of the evaluation production can be attributed to the outstanding Michael Rataj, who ended the regular season in the WCC in double double with 10 and sixth in the WCC with 7.2 RPG. Rataj was an all-WCC selection of the first team. Nate Kingz was also a big contribution to the beavers and changed in almost half of his three -point tests (.446). The OSU is no stranger to significant victories and achieved an overtime victory against Gonzaga during the regular season.

Washington State (19-14) received an offer for the post-season when Nate Calmese led the way for the Cougars with an average of 15.2 points per game, sixth in the West Coast Conference. It was an all-WCC selection for volunteers. Thanks to the efforts of Calmese, the WSU achieved an average of 78.8 points per game, which took third place in the league. The Cougars also took second place in three Showers (8.8).
