Winter Storm Watch now in over 21 Minnesota, Wisconsin Counties

Spring is there, but before everyone can get out and start to plant flowers and prepare the lawnmower for another year, many people have to shovel and keep other winter equipment at hand.

The National Weather Service in Minnesota warns people in the Upper Midwest that another strong spring system will follow in the area on Tuesday evening to Wednesday.

Similar to other March storms, this will start as rain before it handles the snow. In contrast to the last storm, this should fall as rain and snow without a strong signal for snow or icy rain.

In areas within the storm path, however, strong snow rates of one inch per hour are possible. In preparation, the NWS spent a winter storm guard in several areas, including parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and each in a watch area is expected that the visibility of the fall and blowing snow will reduce visibility.

The winds in South Minnesota will be higher, so this area has the best chance for Blizzard conditions.
