Free agency: Nine who mix

After a dramatic week, the QB Shuffle of the Seahawks stands up as the most regimental step to be better or worse (more on that later). But many others are in a dispute over this distinction. Let's start with the positive:

📈 Caleb Williams. Chicago has no longer had a top five-offensive line since 2006, the season with her last great bowl appearance. Coincidence? Head coach Ben Johnson doesn't believe that.

The bears quickly rebuilt their interior and added proven veterans like G Joe Thuney to help their 23-year-old quarterback with “things like Snap Count, Protection or The Run Game”, as the newly signed center explained at a press conference Drew Dalman.

📈 Commanders. The proven veterans added the “commandant standard” to do the “Commandant Standard” for GM Adam Peters and HC Dan Quinn, LB Bobby Wagner, Te Zach Ertz and LB Frankie Luvu. Washington doubled in this off -season and spent a network of four draft picks and a lot of money to buy WR DEEBE Samuel, DT Javon Kinlaw and Lt Laremy Tunsil. Her biggest bet is the 30-year-old Tunsil, who could return to a version of the multi-year all-pro-trent of William.

📈 Vikings run game. RB Aaron Jones was rewarded with a two-year contract and the addition of mighty inner linemen, the former Colt RG Will Fries and C Ryan Kelly for his 1,546-Total Yard season. And Jones was already dangerous when he ran in the middle:

The 30-year-old Jones, who has the greatest workload of his career, should see less than 250 touches, especially now that Minnesota acted against a complement, former 49er RB Jordan Mason. These additions could enable HC Kevin O'Connell to use a more varied running scheme in recent years after an external zone approach.

In defense, Minnesota improved the interior with new DTS: former 49er Javon Hargrave and long -time commander Jonathan Allen. Alec Lewis explains that all big Vikings move so far.

📈 Raider's crime. They added Geno Smith, who is a better quarterback than most think, and the cultural spectrine Pete Carroll, but lost several important defensive pieces. Nevertheless, it will help Carroll's Raiders to make the Pass -rushers de Maxx Crosby, DT Christian Wilkins and de Malcolm Koonce easier for the competition. No other team has improved dramatically in this offseason.

📈 The Broncos. Sean Payton and his work with Bo Nix led to a playoff appearance, although he had to assign 20 percent of the upper limit by Denver. Nothing completed 66.3 percent of his passports and threw 29 touchdowns, the second most common of a rookie in NFL history.

Recently, Te Evan Engram does nothing another playmaker, but the greater story in this low season is how her defense has improved if necessary. After the Bills ran 4.8 Yards Pro Carry at Denver's Playoff defeat, the Broncos took the off-ball linacker Dre Greenlaw and the strong security of Talanoa Hufanga upside down.

📈 Patriot defense. Ted Nguyen contains it in its list of the most improved units of the NFL. A few remarkable quotes:

  • “The signing of CB Carlton Davis, who approved a quarterback evaluation of 77.1 when organizing last season, will ensure that the opponents cannot simply throw away from CB Christian Gonzalez No. 1.”
  • “LB Robert Spillane gives you one of the better running. His lack of sportiness makes him liability in the reporting of people, but he is an underestimated defender in the zone cover. “
  • “Dt Milton Williams was a force for the Eagles and hurried next to Jalen Carter last season. With the future of DT Christian Barmores in question, Williams will have a lot on his shoulders as the top interior failure of the patriots. “

It's a good start, but Chad Graff realizes that there are still questions about this team, especially on left -wing tackle and recipient.

📈 Colts secondary. The two best years from DC Lou Anarumo, who were responsible for the defense of the Bengals, came when Jessie Bates III.

The newly signed security of the Colts, Cam Bynum, can play a similar role. He works together with her other top-class signing, CB Charvarius Ward, to bring “experience, production and high-IQ into the new-looking defense of the team under Anarumo, which will probably follow an aggressive approach”.

📈 Aries. Re -sign Matthew Stafford? Check. Expand the start of Alaric Jackson on the left? Completed. Do you add a dynamic recipient to Puka Nacua? Davante Adams has better checked this check box than everyone else is available. The story was similar on the other side of the ball, where the former chargers DT POONA Ford partially integrate a leaking defense.

📈 Bengal's crime. Thanks to the past weekend, Joe Burrow can slow down his media tour. His two most important goals were agreed four-year deals, with Ja'marr Chase (average $ 40.25 million with guaranteed $ 112 million) and tea highgins (guaranteed $ 28.75 million with the first two years) in Cincinnati in Cincinnati during their main years.

Paul Dehner Jr. explains the consequences of these amazing commitments that Chase made the third player in this low season in order to the title of the highest non-quarters back in the history of the league (after Maxx Crosby and Myles Garrett) and highgins paid the current, ninth height. Oh, and Cincy couldn't be done.

Before we deal with the Faller, Dianna has additional news below.

What Diannas hear: Bengals 2-to-2 so far

Only a few thought that the Bengals could make it, but they took two big steps in the right direction after completing long -term shops with star listeners chase and highgins. Next: Trey Hendrickson.

At the beginning of this month, Cincinnati gave the 30-year-old Pass-Rusher license to look for a trade, but that did not mean that the team or player closed the door for a potential new deal. In fact, the discussions have not yet been completed, and the Bengals still have the chance to lock all three of their (non-Joe Burrow) stars in a low season.

Back to you, Jacob.

Free agency: Go down four teams

📉 49ers depth for now. The effects of Brock Purdy's upcoming expansion can already be felt. The team separated with the above-mentioned important participating samuel, Greenlaw, Ward and Hufanga or Hufanga or the offensive offensive linemen Jaylon Moore and Aaron Banks. In the middle of the mass exodus, Beat Reporter Matt Barrows explains the similarities to the remodel of the RAMS 2023. Remember that you stop 11 selection in the upcoming draft, including No. 11 in total.

📉 Cowboys enthusiasm. They missed larger veterinarians such as Cooper Kupp and Greenlaw, but spoke to some holes, especially at LineBacker, with Kenneth Murray and Jack Sanborn.

Nevertheless, there is hardly any optimism for a significant improvement, especially with a stretching expansion of more than $ 40 million for OLB Micah Parsons. (Although the elaboration of RB Ashton Jeanty at No. 12 that can change quickly.) For the full image, read The athlete'S Free-Agricultural overview for Dallas.

📉 Seahawks. It sounds like Seattle wanted to keep both Geno Smith and DK Metcalf. Instead, they became younger and cheaper by adding Sam Darnold. The newly signed Cooper Kupp, which fits as a zone racket and mentor for WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the third year, enters de Demarcus Lawrence as the other premium veteran events.

But the damn experiment will fail if the Seahawks trace it back with their terrible offensive line. So far, they have only added backup Ol Josh Jones. Not good.

📉 CJ Stroud's security. As Mike Jones writes Our full list of the winners and losers from Free-Agr.“The Texans play great with Stroud's health by exchanging tune.

Houston has seven draft picks (including one first, second and two thirds) to improve their line, but even after Tunsil's year, no newcomer will fill his big shoes in this class.

The most clicked last week: Demarcus Lawrence accounts for cowboys and savings Tiff with Micah Parsons.

We are back to three newsletters per week, now that the free agency has slowed down. We see each other on Wednesday.
