Auburn man, who is charged with the second degree rape after examining sexual abuse

Cayuga County, NY (WBNG) – After a comprehensive examination of sexual abuse allegations in which a young person was less than 15 years old, a man from Auburn was arrested.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Auburn arrested Christopher T. Quaile, 43, from Locke, NY. Quaile was charged with a rape of 2nd degree.

The state police said that the investigation of the allegations of sexual abuse began on January 14 when Cortland County Child Protective Services alerted soldiers about the disclosure of a victim. The investigators found that Quaile was involved in criminal sexual behavior with the victim in July 2023.

On March 5, the officials announced that they were commanded to bring Quaile from Cayuga County's prison, where he was already custody for separate charges. He was charged on March 10 on March 10 in Auburn for rape and then brought back to Cayuga County's prison to expect an indictment.
