Hm Amit Shah checks the status of implementing three new criminal laws in NE states

Modi's government undertakes to provide people in the northeast of faster judicial system and transparent judicial system

Amit Shah, Interior Minister of the Union and Minister of Cooperation, headed a review of the status of implementing three new criminal laws in northeast on Sunday. The Interior Minister also revealed a book entitled “New Criminal Law: Standard Operations and Rules” by CID, Assam.

The meeting checked the implementation and current status of various new provisions in connection with the police, prisons, courts, law enforcement and forensics in the northeastern countries. The chief ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim took part in the meeting together with the governor of Manipur. Interior Minister of the Union, chief secretary and director of the police in the northeast of the East, the general director of the office for police research and development (BPRD), director of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), and other high -ranking civil servants from the Interior Ministry (MHA) and government governments also took part in the meeting.

With regard to the meeting, the Interior Minister of the Union and Minister of Cooperation said that the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made a quick and transparent judicial system available to the citizens. He emphasized that it is important to strengthen law and order to register crimes without delay.

Amit Shah said that the northeastern states have to make more efforts to implement the new criminal laws. As soon as these laws are fully enforced, he explained a significant transformation in the law and order of the region to ensure that justice will be transferred from the Supreme Court within three years after registration of a FIR.

The Union Minister of the Interior said that there should be no political interference in the registration of cases in connection with terrorism, mob lynch and organized crime. He said that all north -eastern states should ensure 100% police staff in the new criminal laws.

Amit Shah asked the chief ministers of the northeastern states to prevent a review of the laws every month. He also headed the director of the police and the chief secretaries of the states to carry out a review seat every 15 days.

The Union's interior minister said that the government has to achieve the base and police stations should be located where people receive justice. He emphasized that this would only be possible with a 100% implementation of three new laws. He congratulated the government of Assam to ensure the submission of the fees within the specified time frame of 60 to 90 days in 66% and asked other states to follow this approach. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of progress in this regard. The interior minister also emphasized the urgent need to implement e-Sakshya. He explained until there is enough scientific civil servants, it is not possible to submit completely satisfactory fee sheets from the perspective of forensic science. He also pushed the use of “Attachment in absence”, which will help bring fleeting criminals back to the country.

Amit Shah said that the stronger the public prosecutor's public prosecutor, the easier it will be to ensure justice for the people. He noticed that the police in the northeast focused mainly on the fight against the uprising. However, since the uprising in the region was almost eradicated, the police should shift their focus on the protection of life, property and dignity of humans. Shah also explained that the government of Modi introduced three new laws after an extensive and detailed consideration process, which included almost 45 months.
