James Madison, Südflorida, old Dominion player use weekly honors

Irving, Texas – The American Athletic Conference announced the winners of its weekly women's Lacrosse honors for the weekends on March 16.

American Athletic Conference attack player of the week
Maddie Elke • Jr. • James Madison • Guilford, Conn.

Epke scored four goals and set the single game record of the American Athletic Conference with 20 draw checks to lead James Madison No. 14 to a 20:8 win at Vanderbilt in the only game of the Dukes last week. Epke scored two of the first three goals from JMU to help the Dukes delete an early 3-0 deficit, and she added two goals in the second half when James Madison scored 9-1 against Commodores in the last 30 minutes. Her skills in the fully circle made it possible for the Dukes to drive 8: 0 and 9: 0 on the way to their first win of the season. Epke lies with all Division -i players with 11.4 draw controls per game in 2025.

Midfielder of the American Athletic Conference of the week
Claire Natoli • Rfrfr. • Südflorida • Doylestown, Pa.

Natoli contributed to both ends in the 2-0 week in Südflordia, including a 15:9 victory against Temple to start the conference game. Natoli scored a goal and added five floor balls against the owls, while adding three floor balls with three sales caused in a 16: 8 victory against Bucknell. Natoli leads the bulls with 16 floor balls in their opening season.

Defender of the American Athletic Conference of the week
Mikaela Ness • gr. • Südflorida • Forest Lake, Minn.

Ness led a defense in Südflorida, which two opponents interpreted in a 2-0 week, since the bulls improved to 7-2 in their first season of the Varsity competition. Ness had three floor balls and a game with four games led to sales in a 15:9 win against Temple, while adding a floor ball and detailed sales in a 16: 8 victory against Bucknell. Ness has a team high of nine sales caused in 2025.

Goalkeeper of the American Athletic Conference of the week
Paige Pagano • gr. • Südflorida • Toronto, ont.

Pagano led the bulls to two wins when she scored 18 parades and allowed 17 goals, which was distance in both games. She had 12 parades in a 16: 8 victory against Bucknell and added six stations in a 15: 9 victory against Temple for the first conference victory in the program history. Pagano runs the American with a percentage value of 0.531 with an average of 9.06 goals in 2025.

American Athletic Conference Freshman of the week
Sarah Murrell • M • Fr. • Old Dominion • Perryville, Md.

Murrell scored seven goals with assist, a floor ball and 13 draws in two games for Old Dominion, including a 15:9 win against Charlotte at the start of the monarchs. Murrell had two goals, an assist and seven draws against the 49s and scored five goals with a floor ball and six draws in a 9: 8 loss on Mount St. Mary's. Murrell leads Odu with 28 goals, three templates and 31 points as a real newcomer, while she took fourth place in the American with 2.8 goals per game.

Scored four goals with three sales caused in a 1-1 week. Had a hat trick in a 15: 9 victory against Charlotte.

Sofia Chepenik • A • So. • Südflorida • Palm Coast, Fla.

Scored nine goals with assist and two floor balls in a 2-0 week. Had six goals in a 15:9 win against Temple.

Nancy Halleron • A • Sr. • Vanderbilt • Timonium, Md.

Together in two games, six goals scored. Had four goals in a 19: 7 victory in Coastal Carolina.
