Open to test Chatgpt connections for Google Drive and Slack to test

Openai will soon test a way for business customers to connect apps such as Slack and Google Drive to Chatgpt.

Openai plans to start beta to test a new function called Chatgpt Connectors, as a document displayed by Techcrunch shows. Chatgpt connections can link the Google Drive and Slack work area with Chatgpt so that the chatbot can answer questions, which are informed by files, presentations, spreadsheets and slack conversations about these accounts.

Openai plans to expand Chatgpt connections to other platforms, such as Microsoft SharePoint and Box in the future.

“In this way, employees who use chatt can use internal information, similar to how you can use the world knowledge about web search,” says the document.

Chatgpt Connectors is the latest attempt by Openai to make chatgpt an indispensable part of companies' software tool kits. While some companies have expressed reservations that Chatgpt can access sensitive business information, others have accepted the technology with open weapons.

Chatgpt connections could convince the deputy company's executives to change their position-and a huge challenge for AI-powered corporate search platforms such as Glean.

Chatgpt Connectors, which are launched in Beta for selected Chatgpt team users, is operated by a version of the Openai GPT 4O model, which can refine its answers based on “internal) [company] Knowing, ”says the document. All users in a participating chatt team gain access to the model via Openais Chatgpt -PPS.

The custom GPT-4O model search and “reads” internal information that may be relevant for a query. To create a search index, Openai synchronizes an encrypted copy of company files and conversations on the Chatgpt servers according to the document.

“Additional related information which [sic] The model did not use directly to click on the sources of the sources at the end of each answer, ”says the document. “If necessary, the model reacts directly with a list of the relevant results.”

Perhaps to assure customers that Chatgpt does not look like your private data, the document shows that slack and Google Drive permissions are “completely viewed” and “continuously kept up to date”. For example, Synchronize Chatgpt Connector Slack Slack Private Channel memberships and fabric file authorizations as well as directory information.

According to the Openai document, employees cannot be found in content about chatt that they cannot access in Google Drive or Slack, and administrators can select which slack channels and Google Drive files are synchronized. As a minor disadvantage, the employees may be given “essentially different” answers to the same chatt input requests, said Openai in the document.

There are also technical limits for the Chatgpt -Connector.

Images in Google Drive files (e.g. Google documents, Google films, PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and plain language) are not supported in accordance with the document, in which the Chatgpt -Connector can only “read” -do not analyze -Data in leaves and Excel work folders. The Chatgpt -Connector cannot call up Slack -DMS or grouping messages and ignores messages from slack bots.

Companies that want to participate in the Chatgpt Connector Beta are asked to provide Openai with 100 documents, spreadsheets, presentations and/or slack channel discussions. The company said in the document that the information would not train directly, but can use it “as an input for synthetic data production”, which may be used in his training.

“No data from Google Drive or Slack are used for training,” says the document.

Openai did not respond to several inquiries about comments.
