While we are all patient for April 2 and the next round of the official Switch 2 news from Nintendo, some fans pull out the Cork boards and the red cord to get more information about the upcoming start of console. We assume that the word of a publication date is just around the corner, but until then this latest theory is a fool (thanks, nme).

The rumor in question was divided on Twitter by the Content Creator Thunderstash Gaming and indicates that the start date of Switch 2 is quite closer than we expected: May 15thto be exact.

According to Thunderstash, this theory is based on “logic, patterns and solid research in the community” than on insider knowledge or leaks, and he refers to various reasons how it came to the conclusion. Get your handful of salt, people, we are immersed.

On May 15th there are some Nintendo events that seem to form the backbone of the theory. In the first place is the start of Doom: The Dark Ages, a title Thunderstash believes that a Switch 2 -start game will be based on Nintendo's story with the series. Then there is the recently announced Mario Kart Lego-Set-a Merch ingredient with another alleged starting title in Mario Kart 9- And The large opening of the new Nintendo shop in San Francisco.

Thunderstash seems to believe that all of this would work hand in hand with a switch 2-start, but he also points to what is going on around This 15th can date that the fire adds more fuel. The date falls during a short break in the practical experience of Switch 2, it is a week before the memorial day in the USA and before the expansion of Super Nintendo Worlds Donkey Kong opens its doors. Things start a little arbitrarily at this point, but in theory it says that all these circulating events give fans time to record the console and start the oral cycle. Hmmm.

As the tweet above explains in detail, the theory is also based on the rumor of the past week that Nintendo allegedly has already sent 383,000 complete Switch 2 units to North America and is currently a “ghost city” for new publications.

Of course we would like to believe that the start of Switch 2 could be so close, but after our eyes it feels nothing more than a few speculations. Look, there are certainly many Nintendo events that take place around mid-May, but that's anything but anything else. Mario's house is an ambitious bunch, but between April Direct and this theorized publication date would indeed be a very fast turnaround. Hopefully the official word will be fat and quick in a few weeks.
