The comedian Shane Gillis sets up a new visitor record in the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs

A stand-up comedy show with Shane Gillis broke the individual show performance record of the Broadmoor World Arena on Friday.

According to a spokesman for the event location, a total of 9,109 people took part in the sold -out show of the comedian.

It is best to the previous record of Sir Elton John during his performance of his “wonderful Crazy Night” tour on March 17, 2017.

The venue has 7,343 fixed seats and enough space for another 2,000 chairs.

“It is a great honor to support the community to bring first -class artists like Shane Gillis to our great city of Colorado Springs,” said Dave Namesnik, General Manager of Broadmoor World Arena.

Gillis was in Colorado Springs for his “Shane Gillis Live” tour. His self-financed debut special, Shane Gillis: Live in Austin, was published in 2021, followed by beautiful dogs on Netflix in 2023. He organized a podcast together with the comedian Matt McCusker.

In 2019, Gilli's fame was given to the fact that SNL hired and fired within 4 days. The controversy was connected to clips from his podcast.
