College hoops did right what the College Football playoff misunderstood

The NCAA selection committee is criticized that you have given the SEC so many commandments for the men's basketball tournament, but Doug believes that in contrast to this year's college football playoffs, you understand it correctly. If you take a look at which conferences have spent most in zero, this fits pretty well with the decisions about the schools it contains and which will watch from home. The college football playoff tried (and failed) to make everyone happy while the tournament selection committee simply selected the best teams regardless of politics.

Doug Gottlieb: “This league (SEC) is a gauntlet because you spent more money for coaches, more money for institutions, more money for training and more money for players. Overall, they have the better teams … if the goal of College Football playoffs, similar to the goal of the NCAA tournament, is supposed to find the best teams. College basketball did it right. College football misunderstood it. “
