Scranton Police, the shooting in North Scranton examined scranton Times-Tribune

Scranton – The city police examined a shootout in North Scranton early Saturday morning, in which a person was injured.

The officials reacted shortly after midnight to the 1500 block of the North Main Avenue. The first reports showed that an argument between two men led to one of them shot.

The police said that 33-year-old James Mendi from Mount Carmel had suffered a serious but not life-threatening gunshot wound. He was treated by officials on site and taken to a hospital. His condition was not available on Monday.

They said the incident was not a random act of violence and the investigation was active. The police did not call suspects.
