Grass fire near Berthoud in Larimer County initiates evacuations

Mandatory evacuations were ordered for residents near Berthoud due to a grass fire. From 3:00 p.m. on Monday, the fire was valued at about 34 hectares and threatened structures in the region.

The Blaze currently burns slightly west of Berthoud, the 5,300 block of the West County Road 8e, near Dry Creek Reservoir and Carter Lake Reservoir – Südwest from Loveland.

According to the sheriff of the Larimer County, the 5300 block of the West County Road 8E between County Road 23 in the east were ordered to go to County Road 31 and between Homer Road in the North-South County Road 6.

For the 5300 block of the West County Road 8e between North County Road 23 in the east, which to the Highway 287 and between the 42nd street southwest in the north and south to West County Road 8, the 5300 block of the West County Road 8E was also suggested.

According to Wilson, the fire brigade was sent to Loveland to support the efforts of the reduction. She says that it is still unclear what the grass fire has triggered.

Large animals can be evacuated in Loveland to the Ranch event complex.
