The authorities turned to public Monday on Monday to identify who drove a vehicle over a lawn in the Mount Soledad Open Space Preserve over the weekend. He tore large parts with lawn, sprayed the mud around and left Deep Tire ruts.

The harmful property damage near Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial in La Jolla took place late Friday evening or early Saturday morning, according to Mount Soledad Memorial Association.

“This vandalism not only refused a beautiful public space, but also denies the memory of the veterans who were honored in the monument,” said Neil O'Connell, Executive Director of MSMA. “This is a place of peace and reflection on our community, and we are determined to restore it.”

The association works with the police department of San Diego, the Parks & Recreation Department and San Diego County Crime Stopper to identify the perpetrator.

Anyone who could help the investigators to track the Vandal is asked to contact 888-580-8477 or Sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipper can remain anonymous and can entitle a reward of up to 1,000 US dollars.
