In today's world, everything you do as a student athlete will be under a microscope. And since social media are so much of our lives. It doesn't take long for a questionable decision to become a viral video online. This is exactly what happened to Michigan Baseball with Mitchell Voit, as his youngest celebrated in the game was caught in front of the camera and became viral pretty quickly.

After Voit installed a triple in her game against USC, he celebrated the third basis and pretended to cut a line from the chalk. Although Michigan went away with an impressive 11-0 shell of the Trojan, it was Voit's celebration that attracted most of the attention.

While no measures were taken on the field, one can certainly say that people have expressed their disapproval with the now viral celebration. In a contribution to his Twitter account (X) on Monday, Voit apologized for an “immature decision”.

“I would like to apologize yesterday for my actions on the third basis,” wrote Voit. I made an immature decision in the heat of the moment. The gesture I made does not reflect my character, the household in which I was raised, or the block M, which I represent in any way. I take full responsibility for what I have done, and I'm really sorry for everyone I have negatively influenced. “
