Wichita man charged with fatal shootout in 2021

Wichita, Kan. (KWCH) – A man from Wichita who was arrested last week in connection with a fatal shootout almost four years ago, appeared to his first appearance on Monday before the district court of Sedgwick. A judge officially accused 31-year-old Pedro Morones Jr. for the first degree in May 2021 the death of 21-year-old Abram Galvan near the Riverside river in Wichita. Morones is also charged with the criminal discharge of a firearm and in three cases of serious bodily harm.

On Monday, the judge found Morones's bond at 500,000 US dollars.

At the beginning of this year, the police said that new information was created that led to investigators identified a potential suspect, and last Wednesday, with the support of the US -Marshal Office, the police from Wichita, Morones reported.
