According to the River Walk Restaurant, a fatal shooting between the employees was an “isolated incident”.

SAN ANTONIO – The River Walk Restaurant, in which an employee fatally shot his colleague, said the shootout was a “remote incident”.

It happened on Sunday against the Cafe Olé in the 500 block of River Walk.

Scott Reed, General Manager of Cafe Olé, sent the following explanation to KSAT on Monday:

“We have experienced a recently carried out event with an argument between 2 employees. It appeared in the back of the house and included no customers or other employees.

There is an active ongoing police examination and we work fully with the authorities. We are not free to disclose additional details at this time.

This was an isolated incident, and in our more than 30 years of history, never similar happened.

The security of our customers and employees is of the utmost importance.

We work with our employees to help you in this difficult time. “

20-year-old arrested

A 20-year-old man who was identified by the police as Talano Garcia on Monday went to his 43-year-old colleague and shot him in his head, the police said.

A preliminary report by the San Antonio police said the two men worked in the restaurant.

The shooting victim, which was identified as David Alvarado by the district of the Medical examiner of the district of Bexar County, was declared dead at the crime scene.

Alvarado died of several gunshot wounds, said the medical examiner's office. His death was ruled as a murder.

After the shootout, officials were called to another address. A family member informed the police that their relative might have been involved in a shootout near the Walk River.

On Sunday, the Garcia official arrested how the records in prison prove. He is facing a murder suspicion.

The police have not defined a motif for the shootout.
