Surveillance video shows possible “interest groups” on the murder of Imam Hassan Sharif from 2024 in Newark, New Jersey,

Newark, New Jersey (WABC) – New surveillance video published on Monday could help the police to finally catch the person who was wished for an imam in Newark, New Jersey.

Imam Hassan Sharif was killed in front of his mosque on January 3, 2024.

The police say the video dates from this evening and shows a “person of interest” in the case, based on his unmistakable walk.

Officials said Sharif had been taken to several gunshot wounds and had been taken to the hospital, where he was finally declared dead.

In August 2024, Sharif posted on Facebook that he was attacked on the way to the morning prayer, but this time could escape.

Sharif has also been a security officer at Newark Airport since 2006. Those who knew he said that he believed in the help of people, and his mosque was even used as a “safe task” position to give refugees a place where they could safely surrender.

Officials say that the motive for the shootout had no connection to be domestic terrorism.

There is a reward of up to 35,000 US dollars for information that leads to an arrest.
