Gabriel Diallo wins singles qualifying match in Miami

Miami – Gabriel Diallo from Montreal survived a “Hiccup” in the middle of the game to defeat Yosuke Watanuki from Japan in a qualification game by Miami Open Singles on Monday.

The 23-year-old Diallo set the 26-year-old Watanuki 6: 1, 6: 7 (3) in just under two hours at the tennis tournament at Masters with 6: 3, with the first round on Wednesday and runs until March 30th.

Both players ended with 10 aces and three double errors. Watanuki had 32 casual mistakes compared to the 24 of the Canadian.

The biggest difference in the game was the diallo in the second surcharge and gathered points to 71 percent of his services, while Watanuki only managed to collect points 41 percent of the cases.

Diallo saved a break, while Watanuki saved only one of four breaks.

Previously, Alexis Galarneau from Laval, Que., And Liam Draxl from Newmarket, Ontara, lost their games.

Galarneau gave up a head start from a set after being defeated in a 4: 6: 2-, 6: 1 defeat against Russia Pavel Kotov in a 4: 6: 2-, 6: 1 defeat.

The Russian broke Galarneau in the second and fourth game of the third set before it was to win the match.

The fourth seed Christopher O'Connell from Australia scored a decisive break in the 12th game to take the first set against Draxl before only six points in a 7: 5, 6: 0 victory in the second set.
