AAA: Average RI pump price 2 cents, defies the spring trend | Charlestown

The average gas price in Rhode Island is 2 cents on site compared to the last week ($ 2.93), which is an average of $ 2.91 per gallon. Today's price is 9 cents lower than one month ago (USD 3) and 30 cents below one year (USD 3.21). The average gas price of Rhode Island is 16 cents lower than the national average.

“When more Americans took to the streets last week, they enjoyed significantly lower gas prices this year than the last time,” said Jillian Young, director of public relations at AAA Northeast. “In Rhode Island, for example, prices are 30 cents lower than last year.”

The AAA Northeast survey of March 17 on fuel prices showed the current national average in the last week ($ 3.08) with an average of $ 3.07. Today's average national price is 9 cents lower than one month ago ($ 3.16) and 39 cents lower than that day before the previous year (USD 3.46).

Today Mississippi and Texas have the lowest prices in the country at $ 2.63 or $ 2.65. California and Hawaii have the highest prices in the nation this week at $ 4.65 or 4.51. Rhode Island holds the 22nd place on the list of the lowest gas prices in the nation.
