ASA Stars input list and plan for Pensacola this weekend -short track scene

After a wild start to the season last month while Florida Speedweeks on the New Smyrna Speedway, the ASA Stars National Super Late Model Tour continues on Sunday afternoon at the Five Flags Speedway Upstate in Pensacola.

There are 28 drivers on the entrance list for a racing of $ 15,000, which is also the round of the third round of the Southern Super Series Regional Tour and the Four Race Blizzard series, which builds the snowball derby throughout the season.

The entrance list contains all 15 prescribed platinum program championship candidates. Overall, ASA says that the list contains nine track championships, with Bubba Pollard holding five of them. Jake Garcia is a former Model Champion for Track Pro and, in addition to Dawson Sutton, will use the hiking trail of Homestead-Mami Speedway, which both will compete in the truck series on Friday evening before flying north.

Carson Brown from Anthony Campi Racing won the Pro Late Model Championship last year and is also a platinum driver on the entrance list. Jake Finch has an Outlawstock championship on the track and is fresh to win the Pro Late Model Baby Rattler 125 on Friday on the South Alabama Speedway.

The winners of the snowball derby on the field include Kaden Honeycutt, who also makes the hiker to the north and Derek Thorn.

Super Late Model Mainstys Stephen Nasse, Kyle Steckly, Cole Butcher and 2016 truck series champion Johnny Sauter will also run. Dustin Smith leaves his family No. 33 to drive for Augie Grill in Garc No. 112 House Car. The race is on Sunday afternoon for 2 p.m. CT and it is broadcast live on TracktV.com.
