Fire brigade in Mitchell Co., which was destroyed after early morning studies

Mitchell County, Ga. (Walb) – The neighbors in Mitchell County clears up after a tornado met her community early Sunday morning. Officials believe that the Twister ended up in the Pebble City area and moved to the northeast.

The Keebble City Baptist Church had minor damage. But 100 meters away, the city's community center and the volunteer fire brigade were destroyed. Fire chief Michael Jones is not sure about the condition of the fire engine.

“At the moment we still look at damage. Nobody was injured, everyone was safe. We are happy. And we are still moving forward and still checking areas and looking for everything we may have missed, ”said Michael Jones, fire chief of Mitchell County.”

While the Pebble City fire department is currently out of operation, there are other fire departments within a radius of five miles from the city. Officials say they are waiting to hear from their insurer before continuing to clean up.
