The High School softball season begins this week. Here are five players who you can see in the record newspapers with reporting.

Jaelynn Anthony, Oswego, Junior, Pitcher/Shortstop

Purdue Recruit brings the performance into the box of the dough and the circle.

Anthony pushed an Oswego program record of 13 Homern with a single season last year, and she could look at teammates Aubriella Garza's career home record in the career Homerun record before everything is said and done. Anthony also went 14-6 with an ERA of 1.90 and 148 strikeouts in the circle. And she was Clutch with an extra-in-ending head and a playful goal in the section victory against Wheaton North.

Kiyah Chavez, Oswego, senior, catcher

The sociable senior catcher is the ring loader of a powerful Oswego offensive and brings a presence behind the plate on the field.

Chavez, a recruit of Iowa and the record newspapers of 2024, did not reach 496 with 12 Homern, 27 runs, 46 RBIs and in 141 bats in a junior breakout season.

Chavez started sporty in 2025 in 2025 and lasted the State Wrestling tournament last month.

What kind of encouragement will she do on the diamond?

Plano Junior Lindsey Cocks

Lindsey Cocks, Plano, Senior, Shortstop

Plano had some fights as a team on the softball diamond, but his senior Shortstop had a monster career.

Cocks came out of one season in two all-steps, in which she reached a gaudy .519 with a percentage of 0.848 and 41 goals. She will look for another huge season in the hope of leading the Reapers in the conference in the Kishwaukee River.

Lundin Cornelius, Oswego East, Senior, Outfielder

Oswego East has completed some important talents and experience on the softball diamond, but the wolves are in good hands, with Cornelius starting the way.

She fought with 26 RBIs and seven stolen bases as junior .442 and will try to lead a young but talented Oswego East team.

A strong bat at the top of the foxes of the foxes is back for their third university season.

Kerssingy, an Iowa Recruit and the second team of all-stater last season, fought nine Homern, 34 runs and 30 RBIs from 30 RBIs last year. She will lead a team from Yorkville, which is looking for a 500 record in 2024, followed the 2023 team, which was the second place in class 4a.
