Everett community activist arrested and was charged with 11 criminal offenses -Kiro 7 News Seattle was charged with 11 crimes

The 54-year-old Percy Levy from Everett is charged with a bail of $ 1.5 million after a 16-month undercover examination of the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force and $ 11.

Levy is depicted with the former governor Jay Inslee, who granted him grace in 2019 after spending 17 years in prison because he had robbed a drug house.

Levy was arrested last Thursday during a traffic stop at 75th Street Southeast in Everett.

According to court documents, investigators found in Levy's house in the 93rd Street Southeast powder cocaine, rock cocaine and enough fentanyl to kill almost 280,000 people.

They also found a loaded pistol.

“It doesn't seem as if he had changed his relationships while he was in the same circle, which is obviously worrying,” said Jim Fuda of Crime Stopper of Puget Sound.

Since the grace of grace, Levy has worked in the Board of Black Lives Matter in Seattle-King County and as a specialist for Outreach for the Washington Defender Association, which is devoted to the reform of the criminal justice.

He is also the founder of Redemption Auto, a car seller in Everett.

Websites underline his grace and its reform efforts.

“If we do things like forgiveness or let people let the hook, it could look like we could reward bad behavior,” said Fredrick Betetson from Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee.

Bletson has been working with people who have undergone the criminal justice system for many years.

“I think there has to be more thinking about whom you give this second chance. What have you done to demonstrate that you move in a direction in which you will be a member of society? “Asked Bleton.

Kiro 7 received a statement by the Washington Defender Association with the statement: “We know very little about the recent arrest of Percy Levy, an estimated employee and a member of the community. Like all people, Mr. Levy is considered innocent and has the right to advice and a fair process. “
