Jelani Berassa, who returns to Miami

Miami, FL – As a native Miami, who visited the Killian High School, the New Florida International Wide Recemary trainer Jelani Berassa describes his decision to come after Fiu as a “total return”.

“Work with coach (Willie) Simmons at Famu for so long that we never left,” said Berassa. “The energy and details are the same. Same games, playbook. It feels like at home.”

Berassa, most recently as a coach of Wide Recevers in the Youngstown State, worked for five years under the New Fiu head coach Willie Simmons at Florida A & M as Wide recipient trainer before going to his Alma Mater.

During his stay at the Rattler, he was instrumental in the development of Xavier Smith. Smith was an all-American and finalist of the Walter Payton Award, who distinguishes the top offensive player at the FCS level at the end of the 2022 season. In his four years, Smith caught 280 passes for 3,620 yards and 28 touchdowns.

In the state of Youngstown, Berassa helped the Penguinen when starting school documents for completions (270) and experiments (388) and percentage (69.6).

Berassas Wide Receiver Group is young, but extremely talented to fiu.

“I train a lot of people who love football,” said Berassa in spring practice. “They are very open to coaching and want to get better. I have boys whose noses are wide open.

Berassa and his group will prepare for the first spring game under this new team of coaches on Saturday, April 5, at 3:30 p.m.
