Backcountry closings begin at 10 p.m. in Little Cottonwood

Alta, Utah – According to the Ministry of Transport at Utah, the closure and intermediate route of the backcountry and the intermediate fittings will come into force on March 17.

According to an X-post from Udot Cottonwood Canyons, the traffic uphill is restricted to SR-210 at midnight. On March 18 at 12:30 p.m., the downhill traffic at Snowbird Entry 1 will be closed.

The intermediate orders in the city of Alta come into force at 12:30 p.m. in the city of Alta.

When will Backcountry closures, interlogs be lifted?

According to Udot, part of the area contained in the hinterland closures will be reopened on March 18 at 9 a.m. on Udot tickets. The area is expected to be called “full north side”.

The SR-210 street closures are expected to take on March 18 to 8:45 a.m. Udot Cottonwood Canyons said they will publish updates on X if the opening is delayed by more than 15 minutes.

The posts of the city of Alta did not provide any estimate of when the intermediate restrictions are lifted.
