Xai buys Hotshot, a startup that works on AI generate video


The AI ​​company of Elon Musk, Xai, has acquired Hotshot, a startup based in San Francisco that specializes in AI-controlled video generation. The move indicates that XAI is preparing to compete with Openais Sora and Google's Veo 2 and possibly integrate video functions into his GROK chat bot.

Musk previously indicated that Xai developed video models, whereby a potential publication of “Grok Video” was expected in the coming months.
