Grass fire causes the evacuation of the Laredo College

According to College, a grass fire near Laredo College Ft. Mcintosh Campus prompted an immediate evacuation of the campus.

“All people on campus have to evacuate and we ask the community to stay away until further termination,” said LC in an explanation.

“This precaution is hit to prioritize the security of everyone, as rescue workers work hard to curb the fire.”

LC published the following evacuation instructions:

“Please stay vigilant and stay up to date while the situation is developing,” said LC.

The Laredo police said they helped with evacuations when the officials spoke to some residents. LPD added around 10:30 p.m. that the LC West Campus and the Holding Institute were used in 1102 Santa Maria to support them.

Around 8:44 p.m. on Monday, the Laredo fire brigade announced that they fought against a grass fire at the intersection of Ventura Street and the San Francisco Avenue.
